          Pink Tank

          March 21, 2017

I love pink but not in a full-on fuchsia kinda way, sometimes just a hint is needed and my own prep has started with a casual trainer, a hint of pale, more nude really than blush.

I decided on these leather sneakers by Office, and yes, a very comfortable shoe.

          Office Axel trainer, £60

For now I want to wear with wide trousers but later I’m thinking of wearing them with floral dresses, so they disappear and let the clothes do the talking. I realised a while ago that my ankles, and legs come to that, are not an area I want to draw attention to, so an understated shoe is preferred!

Love theses by Adidas too…bit more sporty with jeans and a funkier edge for dresses.

          Adidas Gazelle trainers, £74.99

Or more all-over colour by Converse, the soft pink has more of a lilac tinge in reality.

Converse lilac rose gold trainer, £59.99

          Worn here with summer jeans.

And inspiration outfits found on Pinterest show how to style with narrow, wide and long.

I have a feeling these will be my go-to comfy, easy with everything footwear of choice, no socks just a tiny cottony liner. My favourites from Top shop here.

Moving through my forties I've gained confidence to believe in 'style over trends' - quality wins (most of the time) and not to take it all too seriously. A great jacket is always my motto, and I like to play about with old and new and mix in some craft ideas too. I work with lovely clients who want a concise wardrobe or a unique outfit for a special occasion. I hope to inspire you.
