          Night Night…

          October 27, 2017

It’s cosy up time of year and I was struggling to find some nightwear that was mainly cotton, comfy and without silly motifs.  I am definitely a night dress to PJ’s kinda gal but that is personal choice for between the sheets comfort. With teenagers still in-house, there also needs to be a level of coverage so not to embarrass them or me!  A recent visit to Zara Home has proved to be a real winner, as along with gorgeous home wear items, the lounging rails are really appealing.

The feminine, softly embroidered night dress.

          Zara Home cotton nightdress, £29.99

The cotton button down shirt that you could chat to the postman in!

          Zara Home cotton shirt, £19.99

The so pretty nighty, although this one is too sheer for family teeth brushing! (and not that cosy actually!)

Zara Home sheer cotton shift, £29.99

Not forgetting The White Company which is pricier and use viscose or modal as options to cotton. (These are both semi-synthetic made from spinning wood pulp from trees, so still breathable compositions…I’m sure you wanted to know this!)

          The White Company viscose/elastane t-shirt  style, £49

The White Company modal/elastane night shirt, £55

The White Company cotton grandad shirt style, £45

And just one from Marks and Spencer, found on-line, which is sad really as nothing jumped out in store.

Marks and Spencer cotton chemise, £20

What’s your favourite? Nighty or PJ? Comfort or seduction? Just check the fabric labels for fabrics that breathe to aid a good night’s sleep. Night Night.

Moving through my forties I've gained confidence to believe in 'style over trends' - quality wins (most of the time) and not to take it all too seriously. A great jacket is always my motto, and I like to play about with old and new and mix in some craft ideas too. I work with lovely clients who want a concise wardrobe or a unique outfit for a special occasion. I hope to inspire you.
