          Dilemma: full wardrobe, no outfits!

          Dig out your party frocks

          November 17, 2017

Searching through my secondary wardrobe space (attic rail crammed with my fashion history) I found a swishy dress that I still love but hardly ever wear. Inspired by the Me+Em lace layer image, it reminded me of how much I love the posh party dress under chunky knitwear trend.  A flirty skirt worn with ankle boots,  just a little glimpse of lace or a full length silky skirt with an oversized mens style sweater. A classic feminine style with masculine balance.

Me+Em lace layer under knit and jacket

Take one oversized or men’s chunky knit.

          Me+Em Merino wool Guernsey, £189

Add a little frou frou of ruffles, lace or long and floaty dress or skirt.

Great Plains floral ruffle skirt, £70

          Take inspiration from Pinterest below.

Potentially this is just wearing what you already have. One posh dress and one mens large jumper.

Perfect for the pre festive weekends ahead.

          Dressed down party frocks.

Moving through my forties I've gained confidence to believe in 'style over trends' - quality wins (most of the time) and not to take it all too seriously. A great jacket is always my motto, and I like to play about with old and new and mix in some craft ideas too. I work with lovely clients who want a concise wardrobe or a unique outfit for a special occasion. I hope to inspire you.
